Winter Wellness Challenge

The Wellness Council offers a winter wellness challenge to member companies every year.

Keep It Steady: Maintain Don't Gain is a fun holiday challenge that requires teams to log points in daily health habits over the holidays (Thanksgiving-New Years), these health habits include:

  • Exercise at least 15 minutes daily
  • Eat breakfast daily
  • Eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily
  • Limit sweets to one per day
  • Limit alcohol to one or fewer servings per day
  • Eat 1 cup of fruit and 1 cup of veggies daily
The goal of Keep It Steady is twofold. First, the overarching goal is for the participant to maintain their pre-holiday weight throughout the holiday season. Weight loss is acceptable, of course. The second goal is for the participant to earn 1,000 points by practicing healthy habits each day. Six healthy habits are featured and the participant is encouraged to complete one or more of these habits daily to earn points.

"It was nice to finish the holidays and not start the New Year ten pounds heavier." - Challenge participant
